Goolooloo is back, back in action as Wan Shi Tong 万事通！

Today’s mission, accompany my friend (AhNee) for a road trip to Bintulu, and my role, act as a human GPS system~ have to keep alert all the time.

Panda is with us to Bintulu.. we depart at 10.15 and arrive at 12.45 noon. We didn’t speed la, just slow and steady… somehow, saw some road tragedy , rest in peace..

I’m not sure when is my last visit to Bintulu, but i know there’s not much changes since my last visit. I still can find the road to reach ParkCity Mall.

I noticed some nice cafe pops up around, but i think they operate at night time only. Anyway, our destination is to get ChicWan Restaurant. To no avail, I’ve made several calls, no one knows, at the very very low probability, it was just behind the mall, EXACTLY!!!

Coincidencely, I met my Kuching friend ROGER in Bintulu. LOL! and He was just having his lunch at ChicWan. Meanwhile AhNee attended her appointments, I called up Adam aka AhLong to have lunch with me. He is my relatives, who operates the handphone shop in Bintulu. Hehe… Family Biz, u know i know la. Blerk.

No matter where i go, sure got friends, so good right? Thanks to Adam for the lunch. Soon we went to ParkCity mall to have a look, not much changes from my last visit, and again, i met DICKSON..

The mall consist of shopping arcade and hotels, although the shopping choices are limited, but i the management is doing quite well in getting in lots of branded shops, some are not even available in MIRI.

Somehow, we found a weird stall selling snow ice residing in a Hair Salon. This is a weird combination. Although its under an individual kiosk, but this is not good for sight seeing.

Anyway, lets recap, today’s date is 28th April 2008.

Chinese lunar new year has over for more than 2 months. But this wonderful New World supermarket is still seling Chinese New Year goodies.. or maybe they are ready to celebrate Gawai? But i don’t think Iban friends ever bought such things for their Gawai Celebration lol!

Let’s introduce, Adam Mobile , considered part of our related family business. Give them a support too if you are in Bintulu. See, i act like i’m the owner of the shop, can access anything i like. Blerk!

On the way back to Miri, reached Miri around 5.45pm.
Its a pleasant journey, but i am very tired now. Time to sleep.

If i could choose to stay back in Miri, this would be a nice practice, a wonderful Sunday morning, that i prepare breakfast for the whole family. Isn’t that is something warm in heart?

I woke up at 4am, due to the stupid mozzie bite, it gave me another sleepless night again. So i wake up and watch the D.I.E series, and suddenly i thought of OpenAir Market’s “gadokuih” or to be exact – Scissors Kuih / 剪刀Kuih.

I get up from my bed at 6, and wander around in my house till my mom asked why i wake up so early, and i answered, just because i slept early, can i wake up early? LOL..then i grabbed they key and F1 to the old town.

The street lamp are still light on, obviously its still quite foggy..

I met my friend LeeYong, the Fried Kuih Tiaw Stall no.21. As usual, she’ll be there helping out her family during weekends. Long time didn’t visit them, i guess the last visit was during Form5, when 2 sotplug male friends kidnapped me from my house at 5.30am and we go makan there. LOL~ Naive kids!

And the sky was so beautiful in the early morning, when the sun has just rise, the skies are covered by layers of clouds. Wonderful shots ley!!!

10.30am, depart to KB for Sushi Encounter. Yay, i miss Escapade Sushi.

WanFern drives 5 of us in her Vios, and here we go, we reach Escapade KB.

Not to be missed out, groceries hunting.
Auntie and Uncle went for some groceries shopping, so I go hunt for junk food.
Blerk, i found my Hello Panda, since no one pamper me, i have to find the way to pamper myself.
Wuwuwu.. i bought the big box, BND5.30 only! Cheap!

We got home around 2pm, and i was collapsed, not feeling so well. Haha, i think too much activities in a day will lead to exhaustions!

Once in a bluemoon, we gathered at Luoon’s house. Happy hour again, we have some great time tasting those weird wines.

I’m going to bintulu later, will update you my roadtrip when i am back. Tata!

I’m having my holiday in MiRi, so life is like sleep, eat, play, fun and d.i.e~

Plan for the day, I wanna trim my hair, suppose to cut it short, but someone will KILL ME, so trimming will be just nice. Right?

Alright, the above photo, obviously, baru bangun tidor, but actually it was already 2pm. Wakakaka! Tat’s my messy hair that haven’t trim for 4 months. The last trim was before cny, with Lydia at Hoo’s (SIBU).

My previous hairstyle, nothing special la, just normal long hair with lots of bad rooted hair ends. LOL.

Anyway, my sis introduce me to this AXXX salon somewhere in Permyjaya near to my residential area. I thought, since its just a trim, no point to wait for KELVIN’s appointment, yeap, I’ve been going to Kelvin to fix my hair for many years already. But since i move to Sibu.. no more KELVIN but AHBENG got la..

Somehow, its is weekend, as usual, he is FULLY BOOKED, sigh, and i want to get it done by yesterday, so my aggressiveness and eagerness in cutting hair has bring up such a circumstances!!!!

Ya, can see this is just a normal hair salon, but he is quite famous, got 2 branches already.

Axxx: So how you want to cut?
Me: Just trim off my bad hairs.

SO he start cutting.. and totally didn’t advice me, i’m like dunno how to response, and keep praying its not short. But u know la, if the scissors already cut, i say wat the hair can’t grow back already.

Ended up, i got this tomboy-ish hairstyle, totally no feminine looks liao~ sigh..!!!

I was very geram for the whole evening, grumble also useless, i can only comfort myself saying that all my bad hairs are gone, now left good hairs. At least i feel better that way.

These kind of beautiful lies doesn’t works when you meet up with friends and they start commenting your new hairstyle, yabadabadu... so today, my buddies Yen and Wfern fetch me after work and we go to their favorite salon.

I’m kind of nervous, i tell him, better get my head FIX, else i will burn his shop. Somehow, he’s a very humorous guy, so everything goes well with some conversations.. and my hair cut was DONE!

That’s my shocking expression, i couldn’t believe my hair is so short! I think it is going to take me another 2 years time to get back my long long hair. Wuwuwu.

But ah.. i tell you, it brings back the memory of my secondary school moment, I was short hair back then, and ppl say i looks like “guang mo liang zi”.. muahahaha, don’t vomit ok? I just done vomit 3 times also. Hahaha.. Somehow, now is FAT version la. Blerk`

Overall, i am quite satisfied with this new haircut, quite stylish if i have time to style it up. Haha..  So let’s meet the hairstylist, ADAM. Don’t see him look so young, he is same age as me, and he is the owner of this salon. He got those top creative hairstylist awards one ley, dun play play…

That is why, all my buddies are very trusting his skills.

Errm, this is the backside of my hair, and when it grows longer, it will looks like Yen’s.

So how is my hair cut??

I’m going to reveal the real salon to you now, here it is..

1 world vision salon, located at Boulevard Commercial Centre, MIRI. (Previous slimming center , Unisense)

Some of you might not familiar with this new branding, the old shop ADAM SALON was actually located at town, Jalan Merpati somewhere opposite the Hongkong pau. But now they have swift over to a bigger and better location in order to serve you better. =)

If you are interested to get your hair some changes, feel free to make your appointment, you can either call to the shop or call Adam’s direct line.

For your info, Director’s hair cut is only RM25. This price consider very reasonable.

Anyway, i have to congrats Adam in advance, as his business is getting better and it is still in the expanding progress. They are merging with Kelvin’s hair studio and this will going to be another Hair Design Academic School in Miri. Well done, Adam, good luck in your future undertakings!

If everybody is talking about Mr.Ho’s Fine Food, it brings my curiosity to check out what “the Chef” is cooking.

Being part of Mc.Net, i’ve seen so many ppl commented and comes out with different voices, the SIEN thing is, non of my friends interested to go with me!!! Sigh.. but lucky, HuiSing from Sibu/Kuching was here for the PCfair last weekend, so last night we grabbed the chance to dine at Mr.Ho’s Fine Food.

This coming 26th will be his 26th birthday too, so obviously this meal is on me. =.=

Will get him to pay back when i’m in Kuching for the Rainforest!

The restaurant is located at the most happening clubbing street in Miri – Pelita Commercial Center. Used to be Fella Design. Now it has turn into a trendy, errm, medium class restaurant. There’s tables outside along the walk path, somehow, i prefer to sit inside, at least there’s aircond.

Overall, the shop is not in a very fabulous furnishing, only the BAR corner which brings a little bit feel of sensations to chill out. To be exact, that’s also because of pretty Marilyn is working at the BAR corner, this could attract lots of “chikopek” to come and peep her. Lol, seems like HuiSing is one of the CHIKO~!

Let’s get on to the Food.

Basically, they serve imported goods, which includes of varieties of wine, champagne and foie gras. Somehow, their main course, signature dishes are the Roasted Pork and Sausages! So dear PORK HUNTER, this could be the best place in Miri for you to hunt for HIGH CLASS – PORK! Kekeke…

Let’s see what the 2 of us had hunted. It’s actually recommended by Marilyn, so i don’t need to crack my head to think for that. Here some of my food reviews.

Asian Pesto with Bacon (RM14.90)
- should say, i hate the smell of parsley, so and I don’t see much bacon in it.

Sausages Feast (RM30.90)
- This plate, consist of 4 pcs of sausage. Somehow, we taken 2 pcs out, and take-away the remaining. =.=
- Err, thumbs up for this super expensive sausage.. it taste great.
- Someone says the mashed potatoes are nice =)

Pork Steak Special (RM22.90)
- I like the gravy, but the meat is too hard to bite, old nanny can’t bite lar!!
- But it is special, hardly to find Pork Steak in Malaysia.

As an appetizer.. we added
Blueberry Cheeze Cake (RM8.50)
- I love cakes, and i love Cheese.
- Thumbs up for sure.. but u know la, its fattening.

Total for food and beverages: RM88.20
Govt Tax 5% : RM 3.45
Serv Charges 10% : RM8.82
Grand Total: RM 100.47

Overall, the food are actually not so fine, not value for money. But once in a bluemoon, you’ll find it great!

We enjoyed our meal, although their services are good, food serving are fast, well mannered and polite waiters and waitress..somehow, there’s still some little improvement spaces to cope up..
Such as:

• The table numbering, how can they just simply make it by using handwritten paper. No standard ley.
• The boss and ladyboss, ok la, i know you are keen in working, but at least wear smarter ma.
• Serving manner. Since this is a medium-to high class restaurant, you charged so much for the service charges 10%, i am expecting the service manner to be very good. This is very serious matter as i seen they can simply served the food without using a tray, and just hand over to the customers like as in some local KopiTiam.

Anyway, to my surprise ah.. this Miri Franchise was owned by the SuperSave store tauke.. What a surprise, he has invested into F&B business. This is what i always say, if you are keen into some work, no matter what field, you will still be able to find your barrel of gold somewhere. But now in trend, the best job is Robbery, fast and easy money, since police also lazy to catch you. Dare dare go for it! Wakakakaa…

To conclude, I’ll be there again for sure,but that’s only if you are willing to give me a treat. Wo deng ni o~

Looking forward to see their improvements and greater business expansion, this could turn Miri into a livelier and happening City. I LoVe MiLi.

Few days ago i receive call from a bank personnel, this kind of phone call i’ve get used to it. The very polite girl will talk in a very sweet way, to win your heart, its like you are in heaven liao, then ask you to sign for the credit card. Yabadabadu.. here it goes.. a FREE credit card for you…just a signature, enough.

LOL, a signature can turns me into a lifetime debtor le!!!!

All these are my credit cards..but mostly not in use.

1. What is your age when you have your first credit card of your own? Sub card not considered.
I was 23. Half year after my first job.

2. What bank is that? Why?
UOB – cos a friend working inside give kangtao to her.

3. Visa or Master?
VISA wave

4. Credit limit given for the first?
RM3000 only due to my wages were only RM2k at that moment.

5. What is the feeling by that time owning your first credit card?
Fantastic. Can go swipe and wave as i like during shopping.

6. Up to now, how many in total you have?
In and out… 7 to 8.

7. Do you use all of it?
I am just focusing on 2 bank, UOB and ALLIANCE.

8. Pros in having credit cards?
Its good for me to do online transaction, hassle free and save time. With the help of auto debit, no more late payment charges for some of the bills. And when go shopping, i don’t need to bring so much cash. Very dangerous you know?

9. Cons in having credit cards?
It will make me waste lots of money out of my budget. Sigh..

9. How much you pay for your credit card debts per month?
Jiak lat lo.. Everymonth at least throw 1k to the creditcards. Depends, if travel month, its even worst case.

10. Do you wish to upgrade your card to a higher limit?
It has been upgraded, i think more than enough, the higher the limit, the more i spent. So better keep it low.

11. Last but not least, which bank you prefer the most? Why?
Although i’ve sign for so many banks, but i only use 2 bank which is UOB and Alliance now.
Reasons are:
UOB was my first card, and i’ve assigned some auto debit transaction to that bank, so i don’t want to cancel it. Alliance bank gave me 2 cards master and visa, bring me conveniences and higher credit limits. So i think its more than enough..

Its very annoying when receive those bank personnel calls, some of them are very approaching type, never give up and keep calling, I tak sampai hati to hang up the phone just like that. What to do, entertain lo. Some other times, is because of the benefit given, and naiksampan lo.. and sometimes are because of those insurance company offers and i signed lo.. ended up, sign sign sign i also din use. Since no harm mar, I don’t have to pay single cent, and let them earn the commission lo.

Hmm.. I’m breaking record that i wake up and cook myself something which unhealthy but High Carbohydrate but low in fiber, vitamins and mineral and manyak MSG!!!!

Apa itu? It is MiSedap, senang dimasak, senang dimakan. Wakakaka….  Tat’s my favourite instant noodle!!!!!!!

Obviously, my mood is good today, simultaneously, an intruder has come and disturb my current mood. This is quite annoying when your receive those unrelated msg POPup in your Skype account – my skype account is for company purposes, it is really good somewhere in internet calls. Somehow its registered under my personal info.

I’ve get used of those POPup msg, annoying enough just ignore it. But this is different, just because her name is ALLY. Coincidently, a real ALLY has added me in my MSN last night, and that time i was still guessing who is that ALLY until she spelled out her full name, a bit embarrassing for not remembering her. As today, this ALLY popUp in my Skype so I quickly responded as she is the same ALLY of yesterday. So here it goes..

ALLY: Hi..

Me: Hi.. how come you have my skype?

ALLY: Aik.. Angry??

Me: Ha?? Angry??  * i start to suspect this is not the Ally i know..

ALLY: Hi.. nothing la.. what up dude??

At this moment, a strong feeling tell me, this is not the ALLY i know. I quickly turn to MSN window and look for the real Ally to verify this.. OMG, i got the wrong person!!!!!!

I can’t put the blame on Skype, but put the blame on myself. I am lucky i haven’t add that Ally to my list. I’m not keen in making those online friends through those interactive chat rooms. Cos i am no longer the gal15 in MiRC.  =.= I’m now Nanny2x! So immediately I go change my settings options and restrict all those intruder to come in again!!!!

Anyway, Yen has left me msgs, ask me to grow her tree in her blog. Hmm, with the effort of me alone, i couldn’t make the tree to grow up in a day. So, since she ask me to help her do publicity, here you go..  Please click over and save the world. =)
