Cos this is yet another birthday post for this month. See i told you, many many people are born in year end!  Grrr… and even can bump into same date!

26th November was Jerry Lim’s birthday. The anak-taukeh of Jackson Motor Miri. The one who drive Lexus MG3Q and wooing girls around MIRI, or maybe BRUNEI? hahaha..  I’m sure you know him la!

If you ask me what can I do if I visit to Brunei, I can only say nothing much to do but Sushi is the one not to be missed! ERrr.. since the fuel price is no longer cheap there

I bring my friend of Korea, *ane-aseyo* to try out the very famous Japanese Food in Bandar Seri Begawan. It is a Sunday  Afternoon, as usual the restaurant is pack with people.

I had my “Tamago” , ya its just ordinary egg

And the very friendly Indonesian Waiter introduce us the Japanese Crab Stick Sushi.
It’s another “sigh”…. cos its nothing special.. just the crab stick you had usually.

My friend who loves Salmon ordered the Salmon Salad Sushi

and the Salmon Fine Cheese. Hmm, taste Fine if you love cheese.

Unagi Sushi… which taste very awful.
I just dunno how to describe.

Hotate Butter Yaki.. consist of scallop and golden mushroom!
But hey.. this is the most delicious among all!
hahaha.. luckily out of 6 dishes there’s still 1 that can satisfied my need!

As appertizer, we had this Macha Icecream with Red Bean. Oh well, its just Green Tea Ice Cream.

Anyhow, it’s a pleasant trip that me and my friend enjoyed it so much. Although its a bit tiring driving so far to try out the awfully taste sushi, but still its worth cos we explored to the Empire Hotel later.

It was a visit of my friend to Miri for the last few weeks, that happened that we visited to Taman Selera or most of the Mirians call it “Tanjong”. I think it is a must for visitors, where you can enjoy good food, go jalan jalan at the beach *which I didn’t, i hate mozzie* or even u can go pancing ikan if you want..

I was there quite late, but it was still crowded with many many people. Can see from their faces, they are enjoying their evening together with the yummylicious food offering at Taman Selera. Ohh, did I tell you it’s halal food?

Tips: Their biz is just too good, don’t sit there waiting for them to take your order, but go straight to the back at the kitchen and tell them your order! Hahaha… lawa ley.. Keysi ley…. tat’s their culture lol!

I learn that crabs are more “fat” when its full moon, but I watched over the skies it wasn’t full moon ley.. yet the crabs are so fat wor!!!

Not only the crabs are fat.. clams also fat fat!!

Then… must have my favourite – Sotong!! It was pan grilled but then I don’t really like the Sambal paste. Still, the Sotong are sooooo fresh!

There’s only 2 of us, but my friends seems like came out from jungle who need so much food to boost up his “needs”. Hence we ordered 5 dishes just for 2 person. Even the one who take his order wonders if he can finish up so much food or not.. =.=”’

Oh.. this is the soup.. my favouritaaaaaaaaaaaa. Please take note. Ok?

So where’s the 5th dish??
We’ve seek all over the stalls at Taman Selera to check out “Bidin or Midin”. You know… that’s our Sarawak popular dish that must not miss out. And finally we found out there’s 1 malay stall selling. Wahahaha.. he was so happy.. and waited patiently, and re-assured with that stall for the 2nd time that we’ve ordered “Bidin” ….

But…

Tada…

We have finish all our dishes… and the “Bidin” were not even seen!

Finish up the “Air Buang Panas” also highly recommended by ah goo…
So we left Taman Selera. Say byebye to “Bidin” its fated that we have no fate to eat you!!!

The owners of Stall No.7 are quite friendly.. one of them come and approach us to eat slowly and enjoy our food there. Hahaha… you know why eat slowly??? Cos our order came out a little bit slow ma. hahaha.. anyway the food did boost up the energy for both. RM40 for this meal, memang boleh!!!

Seriously, have you ever wonder how happening it is when it comes to year end. There’s lots of wedding that’s for sure, and there’s lots of birthday too!

I know why…cos… Year end is the very auspicious date, therefore a lot of people want to make their wedding around that time and when there’s someone weddings at the year end , then sure get pregnant after a few months…. then 9 months later the baby is born again at the year end, that is why year ends are full of celebrations!!!!

Happy Birthday to Muh Hwa

Recently I’ve been tied up schedule with friend’s birthday and weddings.  They are happy but I got headache.

1. I have no idea what present should be given, cos ppl nowadays are too rich. You buy cheap things they dun like. You buy branded thing, but I can’t even afford for myself, why for you?

2. Having headache when I can’t think of where to celebrate and how to celebrate. There’s always a dine out session, but when you are in a bunch of friends, we prefer somewhere that we can really talk loudly and of course the meal cannot be too expensive.

Hmm, we celebrated Muh Hwa’s birthday with a bunch of kids of next table at Pizza hut. It was fully booked and we have to wait for 1 hour to get ourselves 11 seats.

Pizza Hut Miri is busy as usual, maybe because they are the only Pizza Hut outlet in Miri that is why … they are always so pack! Somehow, their service are really sucks when it comes to peak season like this. We got this cook or semi cooked stuffed crust pizza. =.= Sigh. The food quality is totally out of control. Bear in mind, if you see there’s long queue at Pizza Hut, never put high expectations on their services and food.

Wan Fern is another birthday girl. Looks damn hot.. phewit! Happy Birthday!

Initially we plan to go Secret Recipe, but then it was told by them no reservation can be done during weekends. Sigh. People nowadays, do business like that.

Nvm… there’s always the alternatives way out.
We went to Dessert and Wan Fern treat each of us a slice of cake.

There are many many more celebrations to comes.. I know I have to tighten my belts now. These are just birthday party, what about wedding dinner. I’ve been assigned to be their photographer and bridesmaid. Apalah………. why why why… why am i so kaypoh one.. Why me???????????

Anyway.. I’m here wishing those whose birthday is around, Happy Birthday. For those who are getting married, Happily ever after….. and some early wishes, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Mcdonald’s Drive Thru 24 Hours is opening at MIRI soon?

I’m excited cos I’m lovin’ it !

The DRIVE-THRU thingy is good for big cities but is MIRI very big kah? Hmm ya at least it is a City. Drive-Thru are designed for the culture of ease and speed, for those who is always on the RUSH.. but MIRI people where got rush… there are even people driving 20km/h at the HIGHWAY!!!

Somehow I know that Mirians are very happy to see this drive-thru coming just because its something “new“, definitely people will go high and low for it. Partially it is also because it save the time to get yourself “Jammed” at the current one and only one McDonald which is located at the messy and jamming shopping mall called Bintang Plaza.

What I see is..
Most of the people who go for drive-thru are because they wanna do take away… to dine it at somewhere else or to go road trip or u just wish to stay inside your car for a little more time. *Its good for couples who go dating in car, but its bad news for those who banned food in their car :p*

However drive-thru is not so suitable for Dine-In as most of the drive-thru did not allocate seat.. If you wanna dine-in You can’t choose drive-thru or maybe you prefer to eat at Petrol Station with the great aroma of petroleum.…which from what I heard the new drive-thru in Miri is located at Petronas Petrol Station, somewhere near to Columbia Asia Medical Centre.

There’s limited choices of food in their menu…that you might not get what you wish…

The worst case is there might be argument while waiting for your food,
eg: Your food is taking too long to get ready… then the car in front doesnt want to co-operate to move forward.. end up..The old grandmother were get arrested just because she refuse to move forward.

There are many many possibilities to happen.
End up.. Mirians will start complain this and that and rumors going to spread again!..

By hook or by crook the owner must sustain his biz..

I prefer if they open up another McDonald in the town occupying at shoplot commercial area, so that people do not have to get jam in the shopping shopping mall. It can be 24hours too and it can be Drive-Thru at the same time.. Just like the KFC in the old town, dun play play many people did not aware actually their business is darn good!

Let’s cross our fingers..
Open up another new McDonald please..
