Durian Isu

07

December

I’m not a big fan of Durians, but once in a blue moon I’ll crave for it. I don’t know how to describe the feels, people will just loving it so much when its in the season. That is why all along the road side you can see traders start selling the seasonal fruits especially during the year end.

durian

Anyhow my dad is a big durian lover!
So, i think me as her daughter also got little tiny influences from him. I love eating it, but i just hate the smell that stay on me for the whole day long. Anyway, due to the fatness caused by the Durians, I’ve restrict myself from touching it too. It’s been almost a good 2 years that I did not had any proper “buka durian” session.

Many people seems to dislike durians. I can easily understand why.

The KING of Fruits, are certainly great in SMELL.
Once you touch it, it took couple of days to get rid of the odour.

It’s even more embarrassing when you are working in the office or the air-cond room, and you suddenly burp out the gas which is full of durian smell. Hmm.. then the whole office colleagues will start staring at you. It’s even worst, if the fart is out of control!

Old people like my dad are very professional in picking or choosing durians. They know how to differentiate the good and bad. But as the daughter, I only know how to eat. That’s my task!

As for today, although its almost the end of durian season, but hey… Durian Isu is in the season. This is when the fat panda start craving for durians. If not mistaken, its only available in SARAWAK!…

Some people call it ISU, some people call it Durian Kuning or Merah.
But for sure, the meat is yellow – red in colour.

Not like the other durians, ISU is small in size, it can be big but still not as big as the ordinary durian.

The one I got on hand consider quite big, at least it’s bigger than my *tut* .. blerk!

The sudden temptation came on me, sigh! gotta blame my dad for buying so much durians!

Durian Isu is so easy to open, even with bare hands, or you can do like me, having a small knife from MAS. Oooops.

Slit into the durian, and its easily break apart! :)

Can you see the yellow meat?

Although the meat is not as much as the ordinary durians but still i love the taste of it. The fragrance from it smell good too! At least it wont stay on my hand and burp out some smelly gas after eating it.

Seriously, I finished it alone! Believe or not? See my size you already know la.. hahhahaa..

Actually Durian Isu is consider quite expensive when its not really in the season. Some people sell according to KILOGRAMS. I remember there’s once we ever been slotted for RM12 /kg. That’s ridiculous farking expensive!!!! Even D24 is not that expensive eh…

Still, goolooloo advise, not to eat so much heaty fruits, else you gotta stay sick during the coming season holidays!!!!

Turning my home into a pet shop

01

December

Alvin: The number of dogs in our house is getting more!
Me: Err, not really if included both Max and XiaoHei in sibu its only 7.
Alvin: But that’s equivalent to the number of people at home.
Me: Ya, at least its still equivalent, not more than.
Alvin: Hopefully. ;)

Just right a day after that conversation, early in the morning my dad rang me up, telling me one of my dog at home has just give birth. I was like , HUH? Since when she’s pregnant!???

lily and babies

Alright, this is Lily and the 4 little new born puppies.

Alvin: So now, its more than the number of people at home right?
Me: Hmm, ya, it is. It is total of 11 dogs at home. =.=
Alvin: See.. we are turning into a pet shop!!
Me: Ok, dogs for sale, anyone interested???
Alvin: Let’s sell off the old dogs and keep the babies.
Me: SOT!
