Shall I cancel my Phuket Trip?

28

June

Decision made, Phuket trip canceled.

Initially,Alex has chosen Phuket as our next travel destination. We were very looking forward for this trip, but at the same time H1N1 was announced.

It has been a dilemma for both of us. At first, we thought, we pray very hard, hoping that the H1N1 would be solved in a short while, but we were wrong. Cases are increasing. It has now reach the Pandemic. Schools are closing. Travelers are canceling their flight. What about us? Shall we be alert too?

Now, talk of Phuket. I’ve been following online news, reading the H1N1 situation in Phuket. At first, i was so happy, as there was no cases declared. Weeks after weeks, cases keep growing. Phuket is one of the effected zone.

So what’s the next plan?

Since the tickets bought, we will still proceed our travel plan, but just to KL. When I’ve made this decision, my pig friend told me, “Eh I tell you ah, KL is even worst than Phuket ah!”. Splashhhh… another pail of cold water poured on me. Like this also cannot like that also cannot, that is damn mtfksien ley!

However, come to the conclusion. We have decided to go KL (my shopping mission) and travel up to Melaka or Penang for a short trip. You must be saying the same thing, why so waste? Go Phuket la! So kiasi meh?

Alex insist to stay back in Malaysia. In fact, he is right. We have very tight schedule and limited time. What if we were request to quarantine, that would not be extra holiday, but will lead to many many pending jobs on hold. Think twice, I’ve agree to stay back in Malaysia.

Wish me good luck! I’m looking forward to my holiday!!!

Pray hard hard now, no flu, no fever, no cough. Vitamin C on the go!!!

p/s: Michael Jackson’s Heal The World keep playing in my mind now. May him rest in peace, and hope that he can really heal the world. ;)

Facebook: Typing Maniac

23

June

Facebook is really a kind of Virus. I got infected, i think this is worst than H1N1.

I’ve start to ignore my barn buddy, maybe because it took me so long to harverst. And once I did not aware of my crops, it was all stolen by my friends. So I think I’ve gotta switch my concentration to something new.

I found out a new interesting game called, “Typing Maniac”.

Seriously, it is just a challenge for the typing fanatic like me.

I’m now at Rank 2, come and challenge me la!

Facebook – Barn Buddy (Tricks)

14

June

After a few weeks addicted to Barn Buddy,  so far I’ve finalized out some tricks to get level up and increase your coins in a short time. This is not cheating, but tricks. ;)

I was still in Level 3 yesterday, but after all my hard work, I got level up to Level 5 and also I’ve expand another field.

You wanna know how it works? Let’s see what I did.

1. Firstly, you gotta work in partner. At least 2 person. For me, of course I’m co-operating with Alex.  This is will take a few hour each days.

2. Keep weeding and add bugs to his plant, vice versa. At the other side I will keep spraying my weed and bugs. By doing this, you get to increase your experient points very fast.
*Note: Barn Buddy only allow 1000 experience point per day. * I estimated*

3. Visit all your friend’s farm, at least once per day, to check out their farm’s happening.

  • Remind them to crop their harvest. You gain 1 point.
  • Steal their harvest, but you can only steal once for each harvest. *watch out the time to harvest*
*Note:  A lot of friends have activated their farm but leave it there, so you might take this chance to earn points and steal crops. But this only works once, if they did not continue to play with their farm.

4. Expanding a new field, you need to be in Level 5, and 35000 coins.  Now its time to sell all the crops you have stolen from your friend’s farm. You’ll be surprise with the amount. The more you steal the more you get. Don’t be so silly to send gift to your friend.

Enough of my simple guide, it’s not cheating right? You earn it using your hard work! Hahaha, now, beware of me, cos I will steal all your crops anytime. Haha. I want to level up!!! I need lots of coins!!!!

P/s: This cannot work if you have a dog, cos your dog would not allow people to weed or bug your plants.

Gold Coast – Surfers Paradise

13

June

Surfers Paradise, the most happening suburb in Gold Coast. The place that I’ve spent throughout the trip in Australia. Let’s show you around, what’s so great about Surfers Paradise. ;)

Surfers Paradise = High Rise buildings. Beautiful Beach. Entertainment.

I just love their sky so much, don’t you?

Branded streets.

Eet found his fav shop, but too bad it was close for Easter.

MNG boutique

Bar and Bistro

McDonald, the only place provide free Wi-Fi which is just located beside the beach.

The wonderful Gold Coast beach that you can go for surfing.
The truly Surfer’s Paradise. :)

Having Sun Bath…. Phewwwiit..

So do I, enjoying the beach, and caught “JetStar” in the sky.

Goolooloo was here in Gold Coast April 2009.

I conclude this trip as a budget trip, as I thought I would spend a lot in the first place. Its a good exposure to Australia, and hoping to cover up more places in future.

Gold Coast – foOd!

12

June

Food is essential.

After all, food is where i spent the most money during my visit to Australia. Other than having home meals, we did dine out a few times. Each meal roughly will spent around Aud 15. For me, this is very expensive! Aud15×2.4=RM36+/- each meal. oMg!!!

Anyway, I do enjoyed every meal I’ve taken in Gold Coast. Although mostly are considered as fast food, at least I tried something new here. :)

1. Subway
This is the first meal and was also the breakfast we taken right after we landed there. Its located not far away from our stay,it was just a small outlet which can only occupy a few customer. I think mostly they do take away.

Yay, my Subway !
I didn’t even know how to order, how to mix, but just take what ever ingredients which is edible.

But sorry, no capsicum please!

2. McDonald.
What? Go so far away still eat McD? Crazy ah?

Com’n, their menu is not the same as Malaysia.

A very simple reason, there’s bacon inside!!

3. Nandos
I’ve seen Nandos in KL but had never try it before. And almost everyday we passed by the outlet, it was full of customers. Coincidentally we saw a vacant, so let’s give it a try. :)

Slrrp~ my favorite chicken wing.

Eet ordered burger meal. =.= everyday burger not sien meh?

The reason why not sien —>Chilly Sauce! This is good! Spicy enough !:)

4. Kofte Burger
What burger again??? But this is a Turkish Meal. We had this for lunch during the visit to Harbour Town.

Anyway, this is the happiest meal that I had.

The beef set.

See, you see that? It’s rice!!! Rice Rice Rice!!!
It’s been a week that we did not had any rice into our tummy.
Thank god, on the final day, at least we had it.
Yum yum!!!

Not to be missed, Chili Sauce again to add up the taste of the meal.

Arrrgh, I feel hungry after all these nice food. Time to go dinner. Coming up next, the final entry of my gold coast travelogue. Stay tune ya!! :)

Gold Coast – Harbour Town

11

June

Enough of theme parks and wildlife animals. Time to do some shopping before I finish up my Gold Coast travelogue. Basically, in Australia, it is definitely not a good place for me to do shopping. I’m a cheapskate, as what my friends described me. So I won’t spend my hard earned money on those super branded and no value thingy. Ouch! Sounds so sarcastic eh!

Before we landed in Gold Coast, I’ve read the 3sixty magazine , the in-flight magazine of Air Asia. Good enough, they are covering places to go in Gold Coast. Harbour Town is one of the recommended shopping heaven that not to be missed.

At Harbour Town, you can see many many branded factory outlets and  other designers brand. And the best thing is , they will have sales almost everyday! I was very curious, money ready, shopping bag ready, time to go shopping!!!!

We went into all the outlets, mostly are fashion outlets.

Surprisingly, the fashion and sizes are not suitable for Asians. Yet, I found that even after 50% discount, it’s still expensive! But according to Eet, he said the prices are slightly cheaper after converted to MYR.

Seriously, if all the items are in MYR, I think I will find Harbour Town more interesting. The environment are nice, walking at the open air alley, breathing the fresh breeze. You won’t feel the hectic when you squeeze with many many people inside a shopping mall. Even the dogs are enjoying here too!

This should be St.Bernard if not mistaken. He’s so handsome right?

Cinemas, Restaurants and other Entertainments are also available here.

Conclusion is , my shopping bag was still empty. The tummy was empty too!

Alex says its the best juice bar in Australia, and forcing me to try out the AUD6 per giant glass. Taste not bad, especially to chill out on a hot sunny day.

Want to have some?

We had our lunch before we headed back to Surfers Paradise. It was quite disappointing that we did not even hunt for a single item. However, it was a 30 minutes bus ride to reach Harbour Town, at least, I covered up the other part of Gold Coast. ;)
