Oops again, I almost forget that I have a blog!!!

That was written on my Facebook’s status. I realize I’m once again neglected my blog hence I would grab this chance to blog about our Company’s Annual Dinner. Its a retreat for all the staffs who have work for us.

It was held on 18th August 2009, at Miri Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club. For those who are not familiar with Miri, Eastwood is actually one of the biggest golf field in Miri while it also consist of Chalet and Ballroom which allow you to hold activities.

This is the whole bunch of us, roughly around 50 person. The event was very successful.

Alex were there to attend the dinner too. 

The function was held at Jelutong Hall. We are given our own private room in order for us to play around.

Everyone enjoy the night! Include this fat guy who was kissed all over by another male.. Poor Leslie!

The dinner ended at 11pm. Party was not over yet, we hopped over to Victoria Cocktail, Bar & KTV.Victoria is also part of Eastwood. This is my first ever visit as it has been talk by everyone about how good and how great is the sound system at Victoria.

The overall looks grand, lots of people has been commenting its quite enjoyable environment.

There are some private room for Karaoke, or you would prefer public bar and join the crowd at the dancing pool.

Everyone enjoy the night, drunk, happy but don’t worry, everything is still under control.

Watch out for their upcoming events at Victoria, I heard that there will be Merdeka Party over there too!

Its been a while since the launch of I Love Miri Forum.

There’s a lot of people come to me and ask, what is this forum for? I would simply ask them, do you love Miri? If so, then get yourself active in the forum to show your love of Miri City.

At least that’s a little contribution to Miri that we could do.

ILM is just a few months old baby, in order to make it better, we need to give more exposure on it. The stickers are just done, let’s take a look how the stickers work.

We have 2 types of stickers.

1. The stick on type.

It can be sticked on the car surface.

Or can be on your laptop.

Or on the window glass.

2. We have road tax sticker type.

This can only stick on glass window but its hassle free, you can put it on and take it off anytime.

The stickers are for sale at RM2 and RM5 respectively.
Forum members may claim for FREE by exchanging their coins from the forum. Isn’t it fun?

In fact, we have start distributing our stickers at some public places. If you happen to spot one, do let us know. Who knows you’ll get rewarded?

So how would you spend this long weekend? Going out for a short trip or become a stay home babe, watching tv and reading blogs? As for the kids in Miri, I can feel that they are full of joy. That’s because the UK fun fair is here again. But it might be a headache for the parents cos its gonna burn their pocket soon!

My niece came and tell me, she want to go for the Merry Go Round. Kids nowadays.. 7 years old already know to request this and that.

I snap this picture from the entrance, it’s not I don’t want to be pay RM2, but I guess non of my friends would like to go there. Ahem, we are too old to play this.  I hope this is not the truth.  Haha.

Nevermind, nothing to lose, just that I can’t eat my favourite McD..

2nd attempt was made yesterday, a brilliant hour, dinner time while everyone else was busy eating, here i kam, Parkson Grand!

Since their “eye opening” 2 months ago, this is the very first purchase i did at Parkson, not because of their sales, just because I have their Voucher that I have no idea what to spend on it. Wakakaka…

And this is also the very first time, I found that Parkson Grand itself have a rest room and also nappy changing room. So class!!! Wow…. amazing…. I like it cos its FREE… 

It was so amazed me till I can’t find the way to the toilet, infact the “RESTROOMS” sign is clearly shown there. I gotta admit, I can see “Pierre Cardin” only instead of RestRooms. +.= Is tat my fault or the sexy lady in the picture’s fault?

Arrgh, my pee is flowing out, fast get me a room to release!!!

From the entrance I tot the toilet would be very grand just like what Jaya Jusco or Isetan… but.. sorry hor.. this is Miri standard, don’t dream on something yang bukan bukan…Free for you, still aji-ajo so much…

Good enough, the ceiling is so damn good with leaking water… and so scary somemore.. with a big hole , and growing fungus or what…

And the toilet floor is all WET!!!! Maybe Miri people all having bad habits doesn’t like to save water. The water pipe left open, and I’m the one who turn it off. =.=

Poor thing, my sandals is all wet, but the lucky thing is I did not pee on my pant! WAkakakkaka..

I can understand everything is still underconstruction that I shall not aji-ajo so much. But it really left me a bad impression why the restrooms are so in a mess? In fact I was shopping at the very very grand and classy, Parkson Grand. (Fragment consider revising) hmmm…

Hopefully the next visit they will show me some improvement la:)  and please, I want a better parking basement…

Grrrrrrrrr… this is my main concern, how to dress in Hawaii?

I dun have a nice belly, i can’t wear too sexy.
I dun have a nice body, I dun dare to over expose.
I dun have any beach wear, I dunno how to be Hawaii..

The only way I think of is.. wear a flowerish short pant, a singlet, a pair of hawaii flip flops and put a flower behind my ears. Tada.. that’s its! So easy, that’s Hawaiian!

But wait……….

Being the very creative organizing committee, they have come out such a creative advertising banner published in Mc.Net. Let’s take a look at the above banner.

OMG! Putting a flower behind the right ear means i am looking for a sweetheart. Adui………. luckily I saw the banner else I would be silly to have that flower behind my ears. Phew..

I’m excited cos I’m lovin’ it !

The DRIVE-THRU thingy is good for big cities but is MIRI very big kah? Hmm ya at least it is a City. Drive-Thru are designed for the culture of ease and speed, for those who is always on the RUSH.. but MIRI people where got rush… there are even people driving 20km/h at the HIGHWAY!!!

Somehow I know that Mirians are very happy to see this drive-thru coming just because its something “new“, definitely people will go high and low for it. Partially it is also because it save the time to get yourself “Jammed” at the current one and only one McDonald which is located at the messy and jamming shopping mall called Bintang Plaza.

What I see is..
Most of the people who go for drive-thru are because they wanna do take away… to dine it at somewhere else or to go road trip or u just wish to stay inside your car for a little more time. *Its good for couples who go dating in car, but its bad news for those who banned food in their car :p*

However drive-thru is not so suitable for Dine-In as most of the drive-thru did not allocate seat.. If you wanna dine-in You can’t choose drive-thru or maybe you prefer to eat at Petrol Station with the great aroma of petroleum.…which from what I heard the new drive-thru in Miri is located at Petronas Petrol Station, somewhere near to Columbia Asia Medical Centre.

There’s limited choices of food in their menu…that you might not get what you wish…

The worst case is there might be argument while waiting for your food,
eg: Your food is taking too long to get ready… then the car in front doesnt want to co-operate to move forward.. end up..The old grandmother were get arrested just because she refuse to move forward.

There are many many possibilities to happen.
End up.. Mirians will start complain this and that and rumors going to spread again!..

By hook or by crook the owner must sustain his biz..

I prefer if they open up another McDonald in the town occupying at shoplot commercial area, so that people do not have to get jam in the shopping shopping mall. It can be 24hours too and it can be Drive-Thru at the same time.. Just like the KFC in the old town, dun play play many people did not aware actually their business is darn good!

Let’s cross our fingers..
Open up another new McDonald please..
