I met the young boy Aaron, a reader from AlexAllied actually. He told me my blog is a kind of sleepy lately, if compared to Sixthseal.com. I am just a tiny little blogger, and Sixthseal is so popular in demand. Mana can compare…  But hor, since got people lodge complain, sure have to do something to show improvement mar! Right? Thanks Aaron, I will try to blog something more interesting, i know, you want free voucher rite? kakakakaa..

But since I dun blog for income, why i bother so much?? Cannot! I must be responsible to all my readers la, even if its left 1 person reading also have to write to the fullest. Then i browse back, ya lor, I’ve been talking craps, I’ve been talking food mostly. But that’s my life! Sigh.. boring life. Not like HB, he can blog anything he like without restrictions*, he can show off his butt, i can’t! Even if i show, i know they will start criticize me! LoL..  Honestly, he is doing pretty well in his blog, else I won’t be reading it also la. Good Job, HB. Else how to be the legend?

Since I am who I am, err, Mary Goolooloo, but wanna write something more awakening, here you go my series of XX chromosome! Kakakaka..  Someone tell me if i put more girls photo, my blog traffic will increase. I think I have to start taking photos of lenglui in my daily lifes. Sure a lot of people come and stay till don’t wan to leave. *Correct me if i am wrong*

This is the newly open DeliFrance, located at Bintang Plaza. I was there to get my dad a present. I suggested Nee to give them a peep. Luckily, not much people in the afternoon time.

Although it’s quite pricey compared to normal bakery price, but their pastries are special.

I ordered the Seafood Croissant.
Hmm.. the croissant is soft, somehow I don’t really like the seafood fillings.

Chef Mini ordered Meatball Pasta, chef recommendations.

十哩香肉骨茶 GOOD TASTE BAK KUT TEH RESTAURANT

No need to introduce much to MIRIANS as it has been popular enough among the communities. When Bak Kut Teh was firstly introduce in Miri, it could be 10 years ago if not mistaken. It was initially located at Krokop5 just opposite Woodman S/B. Their long run efforts does pay off,recently they have relocated their shop to Centre Point, a new commercial area in MIRI.

Another food hunting escape, i had my lunch there with Nee. One of our favorite spot.
As usual we will order our own portion of favorite pot, then add on with a plate of vege.

Chillies and Garlics are a MUST while eating BakKutTeh!

This is what i order, I only want pork ribs and lean meats.

See..its so tempting ley!!!

Plus and minus, RM15 per person is consider at a very affordable price for a big portion of Bak Kut Teh.

I’m still in SickMode, thanks for all the concerns, I’m getting better today.

Ala-Makkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk sounds a bit overacted but in fact it is one of the Nasi Beriani Gam Restaurant in MIRI. Back to college life in W.Malaysia, Nasi Briyani or Beriani are quite common, but as usual its part of the authentic Malay food, which i do fine it a bit oily and spicy * it depends*. But still, its YUMMY!

I visited Ala-Mak restaurant under the recommendation of some members in Mc.Net. Curiosity does trigger my appetite to try out most of the good food in Miri.

Alamak is just located at Krokop 10, same row as Sea Horse Pub & Bistro.

I ordered Nasi Beriani with Chicken - RM10

The interiors are quite simple, with ceiling fans, but out of simplicity there’s a smoking zone!

For those who prefer sitting along the corridor, or more preferable for smokers can choose to sit outside.

From what i observe, this is another “Oil&Gas” hangout. Their business are running quite well, especially during lunch time. Why wait? Give it a try if you are one of the Briyani lover!

So apart of the above Authentic Nasi Briyani, here comes another set of No No Nasi Briyani that i’ve tried on Air Asia’s snack attack.

I pre-ordered one Nasi Briyani RM8 and One Roti Canai RM5. I expect it will be as nice the very popular Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak, but its a big disappointment!!

The Most Photogenic & Pure Breed Dog Exhibition & Contest 2008

First of all, let’s congratz me for winning the grand prize by participating Bobby’s photo as the Most Photogenic Dog for May 2008.

The whole family of me are so excited when we get the news we are being nominated, errm, not only we but my friends also. Even got people start betting Bobby gonna get the Grand Prize.

Jack and Ryna has put the greatest effort by doing a home visit to verify the contestant dogs. We are really impress by the hardworks, once again, Thank you to all the organizers and sponsors and we do hope to get participate for more events for Mc.Net.

I was being informed by Ryna to get myself present for the event on 25-05-08 Sunday morning, at Taman Bulatan, together with my winning dog -Bobby.

For the Photogenic Categories, my Bobby won the grand prize as the dog of the month (May08), two consolations prize won by Jarob Prince Wee and TungTung and the most favourite dog votes in Mc.net won by Scooby Wong. I meet all the winning contestants dog except TungTung. So i don’t get a close-up with him.

I believe my Bobby might not be as cute or handsome if compared to other dogs somehow he has the luck cos he has a very talented owner who is me. “Puji Sendiri” .. I posed him up on the lamp post, and with a very Macho Look, which has impress lots of people, and of cos the panel judges does feel that he deserve for the most photogenic. Hehe.. So very very much thank you to all the judges cos you have made the right decision.

Anyway, i do need to clarify, the photos are taken by me, myself, not by my dad. Cos i already start hearing rumors saying “itu gambar bapa dia shoot punya”… i hate those.. okay. my dad now more into bonsai than photography.. Some of you must be wondering, what it relates to my dad, hehe.. i better keep low profile. Shh..

On the event itself, the pure breed dog exhibitions and contestants are present at the event. I can see lots of big guardian dogs, German Sherphard, Rotweiller, Labrador, St. Bernard and also those small breed dogs, Chiwawa, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Pugs and also BULL DOGS..

It was a hot day anyway, but the event was called a success, it attracts lots of crowds and at the same time Mc.net has become more popular. I did help to distributes questionnaires to the crowd, and to my surprise, quite a lot of people aware of our Mc.Net. So for those who are not member yet, kindly click over and sign up as a member. I’m definitely part of the people who had lots of fun at the event. Part of getting my prizes i do meet up lots of friends, and ex-colleagues! Grrrr i miss them so much!!!  The most interesting part is i do have chance to expose to mc.net members who i always chit-chat to, but never know the real faces. Example, to Bulat who i tot is Bulat but infact he is so thin!

Just few days ago, it was hurricane tailing MIRI, and i was taking the horrible picture of my front yard, and today same view but it is not hurricane, it’s SMOKE!

Bomba infront my house! 4pm

Alvin, my nephew, suddenly knocked my door and says “Gu, Gu, fast fast go see drama!”.. LOL.. I was still glooming on my bed and his shout waked me up.

I saw BOMBA infront of my house, and saw fire in the forest, and can be seen that the BOMBA / FIRE BRIGADE is there to solve the fire but they are just helpless and effortless.

According to my dad and the few firemen, the open fire is done by human act, not natural burning. Due to the fire spot is further down into it, there’s no road access for the fire brigade to melt the fire. Guess that is the reason why they ended up stop at my house.

OMG..

That’s my question, what happen!!??
Then i fast fast grab the camera and we start to candid-camera. LOL

Infact, he’s right, we can’t do anything, but being helpless also to accept the fact of OPEN BURNING did by some unethical people, who don’t know how to protect our environment and keep destroying it. Sigh..

Once a year, Miri is proud to present this International Jazz Festival, organize by the Sarawak Tourism Board and last year it was co-operated with MAXIS and this year its become CELCOM’s territory. This is my first time to such an event!!!

I enjoyed the night very very much, although i was there a bit late, but the night was still young! Their performances are great, lots of foreigners enjoyed the party! Hmm, I fall in love with the Tuba cum Trumpet player! He doesn’t looks handsome, but he is talented!!!!!!!!! VERY!!!!!!

This is Pre-Rainforest party. I believe I’ll get more fun and sweats during Rainforest festival! Can’t wait for it!!!!! July!!! Please come faster!!!

Goolooloo is back, back in action as Wan Shi Tong 万事通！

Today’s mission, accompany my friend (AhNee) for a road trip to Bintulu, and my role, act as a human GPS system~ have to keep alert all the time.

Panda is with us to Bintulu.. we depart at 10.15 and arrive at 12.45 noon. We didn’t speed la, just slow and steady… somehow, saw some road tragedy , rest in peace..

I’m not sure when is my last visit to Bintulu, but i know there’s not much changes since my last visit. I still can find the road to reach ParkCity Mall.

I noticed some nice cafe pops up around, but i think they operate at night time only. Anyway, our destination is to get ChicWan Restaurant. To no avail, I’ve made several calls, no one knows, at the very very low probability, it was just behind the mall, EXACTLY!!!

Coincidencely, I met my Kuching friend ROGER in Bintulu. LOL! and He was just having his lunch at ChicWan. Meanwhile AhNee attended her appointments, I called up Adam aka AhLong to have lunch with me. He is my relatives, who operates the handphone shop in Bintulu. Hehe… Family Biz, u know i know la. Blerk.

No matter where i go, sure got friends, so good right? Thanks to Adam for the lunch. Soon we went to ParkCity mall to have a look, not much changes from my last visit, and again, i met DICKSON..

The mall consist of shopping arcade and hotels, although the shopping choices are limited, but i the management is doing quite well in getting in lots of branded shops, some are not even available in MIRI.

Somehow, we found a weird stall selling snow ice residing in a Hair Salon. This is a weird combination. Although its under an individual kiosk, but this is not good for sight seeing.

Anyway, lets recap, today’s date is 28th April 2008.

Chinese lunar new year has over for more than 2 months. But this wonderful New World supermarket is still seling Chinese New Year goodies.. or maybe they are ready to celebrate Gawai? But i don’t think Iban friends ever bought such things for their Gawai Celebration lol!

Let’s introduce, Adam Mobile , considered part of our related family business. Give them a support too if you are in Bintulu. See, i act like i’m the owner of the shop, can access anything i like. Blerk!

Its a pleasant journey, but i am very tired now. Time to sleep.

If i could choose to stay back in Miri, this would be a nice practice, a wonderful Sunday morning, that i prepare breakfast for the whole family. Isn’t that is something warm in heart?

I woke up at 4am, due to the stupid mozzie bite, it gave me another sleepless night again. So i wake up and watch the D.I.E series, and suddenly i thought of OpenAir Market’s “gadokuih” or to be exact - Scissors Kuih / 剪刀Kuih.

I get up from my bed at 6, and wander around in my house till my mom asked why i wake up so early, and i answered, just because i slept early, can i wake up early? LOL..then i grabbed they key and F1 to the old town.

The street lamp are still light on, obviously its still quite foggy..

I met my friend LeeYong, the Fried Kuih Tiaw Stall no.21. As usual, she’ll be there helping out her family during weekends. Long time didn’t visit them, i guess the last visit was during Form5, when 2 sotplug male friends kidnapped me from my house at 5.30am and we go makan there. LOL~ Naive kids!

We got home around 2pm, and i was collapsed, not feeling so well. Haha, i think too much activities in a day will lead to exhaustions!

Once in a bluemoon, we gathered at Luoon’s house. Happy hour again, we have some great time tasting those weird wines.

I’m going to bintulu later, will update you my roadtrip when i am back. Tata!

I’m having my holiday in MiRi, so life is like sleep, eat, play, fun and d.i.e~

Plan for the day, I wanna trim my hair, suppose to cut it short, but someone will KILL ME, so trimming will be just nice. Right?

Alright, the above photo, obviously, baru bangun tidor, but actually it was already 2pm. Wakakaka! Tat’s my messy hair that haven’t trim for 4 months. The last trim was before cny, with Lydia at Hoo’s (SIBU).

My previous hairstyle, nothing special la, just normal long hair with lots of bad rooted hair ends. LOL.

Anyway, my sis introduce me to this AXXX salon somewhere in Permyjaya near to my residential area. I thought, since its just a trim, no point to wait for KELVIN’s appointment, yeap, I’ve been going to Kelvin to fix my hair for many years already. But since i move to Sibu.. no more KELVIN but AHBENG got la..

Somehow, its is weekend, as usual, he is FULLY BOOKED, sigh, and i want to get it done by yesterday, so my aggressiveness and eagerness in cutting hair has bring up such a circumstances!!!!

Ya, can see this is just a normal hair salon, but he is quite famous, got 2 branches already.

Axxx: So how you want to cut?
Me: Just trim off my bad hairs.

SO he start cutting.. and totally didn’t advice me, i’m like dunno how to response, and keep praying its not short. But u know la, if the scissors already cut, i say wat the hair can’t grow back already.

Ended up, i got this tomboy-ish hairstyle, totally no feminine looks liao~ sigh..!!!

I was very geram for the whole evening, grumble also useless, i can only comfort myself saying that all my bad hairs are gone, now left good hairs. At least i feel better that way.

These kind of beautiful lies doesn’t works when you meet up with friends and they start commenting your new hairstyle, yabadabadu... so today, my buddies Yen and Wfern fetch me after work and we go to their favorite salon.

I’m kind of nervous, i tell him, better get my head FIX, else i will burn his shop. Somehow, he’s a very humorous guy, so everything goes well with some conversations.. and my hair cut was DONE!

That’s my shocking expression, i couldn’t believe my hair is so short! I think it is going to take me another 2 years time to get back my long long hair. Wuwuwu.

But ah.. i tell you, it brings back the memory of my secondary school moment, I was short hair back then, and ppl say i looks like “guang mo liang zi”.. muahahaha, don’t vomit ok? I just done vomit 3 times also. Hahaha.. Somehow, now is FAT version la. Blerk`

Overall, i am quite satisfied with this new haircut, quite stylish if i have time to style it up. Haha..  So let’s meet the hairstylist, ADAM. Don’t see him look so young, he is same age as me, and he is the owner of this salon. He got those top creative hairstylist awards one ley, dun play play…

That is why, all my buddies are very trusting his skills.

Errm, this is the backside of my hair, and when it grows longer, it will looks like Yen’s.

So how is my hair cut??

I’m going to reveal the real salon to you now, here it is..

1 world vision salon, located at Boulevard Commercial Centre, MIRI. (Previous slimming center , Unisense)

Some of you might not familiar with this new branding, the old shop ADAM SALON was actually located at town, Jalan Merpati somewhere opposite the Hongkong pau. But now they have swift over to a bigger and better location in order to serve you better. =)

If you are interested to get your hair some changes, feel free to make your appointment, you can either call to the shop or call Adam’s direct line.

For your info, Director’s hair cut is only RM25. This price consider very reasonable.

Anyway, i have to congrats Adam in advance, as his business is getting better and it is still in the expanding progress. They are merging with Kelvin’s hair studio and this will going to be another Hair Design Academic School in Miri. Well done, Adam, good luck in your future undertakings!
