Welcome to Ami Hotel

17

July

goolooloo12:37 pm11 comments

The greatest thing over the trip to Kuching is that I found back my long lost friend, AMI. Love cures everything, that’s the word of the day. I’ve been repeating that AMI has given us the best hospitality, and now I’m going to show you the best facilities hotel in Kuching, owned by my dearest friend, AMI. ;)

As I mentioned few post back, My friend Yen and I are staying at AMI HOTEL. Actually that was not a hotel, the truth is the room actually looks like a hotel indeed!!!

After registration, we were given the world smallest hotel room key to access the room. Hmm, actually the door lock system is using the real hotel type, which you need a card to access it, but sorry, this is AMI style, so instead of the card, the door was lock just by that small little padlock!! Grrr….

*honestly, the lock is useless, someone karate it sure open liao*

Yen being an attentive model, posing for welcoming me to AMI hotel.

This is the presidential suite, where it occupies with the SMALLEST TV in the world, and the HUGE hifi system.

Even 5 stars hotel only giving 2 bottles of 500ml mineral water, but AMI hotel is complimenting 5little Spritzer Mineral Water and serve exclusively with 2 crystal glass. *worth RM0.99 each from SuperSave* kakakaka..

But hey don’t play play, the suites are nicely decorated with moomoo bedsheets , as well as big teddy bears for you to hug at night. See the back drop design, got spot light somemore, so lomantik la!!!

Taking the look of the room itself is authentic enough, but further explore, I found out that the aircond system are even classic!!!

Ok, I have to admit this type of Air Cond panel is normally apply to big units.
Then you should take a look at the Air Cond unit.

OMG!!!!!!!
This kind of AIRCOND I only seen it at BIG OFFICES or small shopping malls like DELTA MALL, but how come it appears at AMI HOTEL??????

More to find out, Yen found that this is a path to the BATHROOM with Purplish Ribbon tie on the door, and it is a transparent glass door, although its tinted but imagine, once you turn on the light, it can be see through!!!!!!! Sexciting betul la!

Further again to the bathroom, there’s the jacuzzi type bath tub which is not functioning as well. The bathroom is really big, i think it can be bigger than an ordinary room. Seriously, all the facilities in this bathroom are just alike to the hotel, errm,  I mean a 5star hotel.

Even drying rod also available =.=
Alamak, price tag still on la!

Feel amazed?? But you’ll feel even amazed after i tell you the rental for this house.

From the outlook, you will never imagine there’s hidden treasure inside. Haha..
*lots of bras and undies*

This is actually a rented house for the staffs, so it occuppies 10 person all together in the house. OR another way round, this is actually a hostel. But a very GRAND hostel. Compared to what I have in SIBU, mind is really a laoya hostel with full of dog shits everywhere. kakaka..

Oh ya, did i tell you the rental yet?
It start with 7, end with two 0.
Its only RM700!!!!!!!!

dd=.=bb

Thanks god, its Friday tomorrow. Kakaka…

Everyone is talking about RWMF…

starbucks
Blogging from Starbuck$ , Kuching International Airport.

I spent RM18.05 on this cup of drink from StarBucks $$$, which I’ve totally out of my mind, and only after i sit down, and i start to regret. Imagine RM18 i can get almost 6cups of super delicious double chocolate from my Kokoberry. ;) But its ok, at least i have a nice environment to let my phone and laptop keep charging, then I can start my mission to report about the RWMF.
This short trip to Kuching has wasted me quite a few hundreds.. which i prefer not to count, but try to earn more back! Haha! Initially, the trip was meant for a checkup at Normah and experienced one nite at the worldwide festival called Rainforest World Musical Festival. But I realize that I wasn’t getting myself enjoyed at the event but found it more pleasant indulging Kuching food.

rwmf
I peep hearing the group of people beside me talking loudly how bad was the Rainforest, and that was most of the responds i get from my friends. It’s really quite a disappointing one from quite a few aspects. I’ll try to blog about the RWMF details when I got back to Sibu. At the mean time, let’s see what I did in Kuching beside of RWMF.

blood

Ouch, blood…
That’s for the blood test done at Normah this morning.

Thanks for the best hospitality given by my best friend, AMI. It was really great that 4 of us made it a small gather at Kuching, which was totally unplan. Compare to the RM270 i paid for RWMF, the moment spent with my buddies are really priceless. Errm, the calories intake also countless!!

The 1st night arrival, I’ve tasted the best seafood at Top Spot

siobee
Just before my other 2 friends left Kuching, we tried our best to try all the best food in Kuching!
I thought RM10 can buy a lot of SioBee, but ended up we bought RM50, some for take aways.

This is the best Teh-C peng from 7th mile.

The lady owner of the Laksa Stall, she’s friendly enough when I ask for permission to take photos. But when she ask why you wanna take her photo, I just replied because you are famous. I can feel that she’s floating! She even tell me even got AngMoLang took her picture. Keke…

Bruneian BND0.53 , Malaysian BND1.18 = RM2.77

July

goolooloo12:09 pm17 comments

Another sleepy post.. but get your eyes open big big please! Thank you!

I’ve to admit, I’m willing to drive up to Brunei just for that BND 0.53 per litre of petrol, at the same time i can go KB - Kuala Belait to get some essential goods *cheaper in Brunei* and if got time, I can go Escapade eat Sushi~

But It was all past tense.

=Brunei Road Trips=
Kuala Belait is just a small town in Brunei. It was just a boring afternoon, so we drive up to KB, since its just 30-40 minutes away from Miri. *depends on what speed you drive, remember, if you get caught by the speed track, you gotta pay in BND ;)

rd trip
Mini the driver a.k.a Goolooloo *muaks*

donut

Here you go.. See the Shell Sign Board?

This is the nearest Petrol Station right after the Sg.Tujuh Immigration Check Point.

In other words, it attracts most of the Mirian to pump their fuel here before heading back to MIRI. What a brilliant ideas it used to be! In the olden days, there’s totally no restriction of how much fuel you can pump, that was when the price differences wasn’t that contrast.

And right after the 1st time petrol hike in Malaysia, they’ve controlled the limit, where Malaysian Car can only pump up to BND10. You might think, har only BND10, worth meh?? After some calculations, it is still worth just to go up to pump your petrol and back to MIRI.

BND10 = 10*2.36 = RM 23.60 = 18.86 ltr!!

Let’s say in Malaysia, even its before price hike.
RM23.60 / 1.92per ltr = 12.29 ltr only!!!

And now after price hike
RM23.60 / 2.70per ltr = 8.7 ltr ONLY!!!!

Brunei Government not sleeping wokey???
They have been kind enough subsiding blindly to us for so many years. and now its time to roar back!
In order to stop Malaysian enjoying the BND0.53 privilege, the Brunei government has set the new price for us !! BND1.18 = RM2.77, 7 sen more expensive than Malaysia. Ever since that, there’s no longer long queue at the petrol station. =.=

This is a Realistic World. Hehe..

mirror
Hi, see who’s in the side Mirror?

Somehow, people like us who still like to go anywhere, anyplace main main.. will still go ahead to waste some petrol. Somehow, the 1st shopping attempt was fail, due to some stupid reason, and we return to Miri with emptry hands. Wuwuwu…

*Really go makan angin only*

photo taking
I wind down the window *to makan more angin*, mumbling to myself, and caught these few people doing strange things.

A man and a woman are talking by the road side, and the man in red is taking picture of them. So, curiousity brings me to take a picture of them instead! Hahaha!!! Hmm, mebi he’s also a blogger?

single tree
The single and dry tree…

sky
Reach Miri in the evening time.. the sky are so nice..

i drive
Since the 1st attempt was fail, so we go for 2nd attempt in the next morning!

This time, goolooloo is the F2 driver. By normal procedure I have to fill in all those forms, and then the custom officer ask for my phone number, stupidly i thought it was a new must procedure, after a second thought, then only i realize, he was flirting! Grrrrrrrrrrr! Buat kerja kamu la!

donut

lomo

2nd attempt was very succesful indeed, and all money spent.
I went to a few supermarkets in KB to hunt for some imported goods for my Koko Biz. Honestly, it’s still cheaper in Brunei eventho after the price hike issues. As I buy in bulk, plus and minus, it’s still worth for a simple road trip!

Left BND3 for the toll fees.

Before leaving for Miri, I manage to get my LOMO to the beach, guess what time was that?

look at sea

Its 12 noon.
Poor Mini, she’s overcooked under the hut.

And I was still there photo shooting!

hot ah nee

See her facial expression, imagine that was real HOT.
Driver not ready to go, so you be patient ok?

We are suppose to drop by Escapade Sushi for a *light meal*, somehow as my mom need to use car, so I have to rush back to surrender the car. Quite a regret that I did not make it, cos I understand that it’s hardly to persuade friends to go Brunei since petrol price increase, they would rather stay home and save money. =.= Just like how realistic like Eet was, he told me that he won’t fetch me anymore due to price increase :( Honda City fuel saving what, don’t be so stingy la!

dd=.=bb

Sibu Bloggers! Wanna organize a road trip all the way to Brunei?????
STP, Escapade have the best sushi , big portion, and reasonable price!!!!!
Please feedback, cos silence is neither denying nor accepting~ hahahah!!!

Its been 2 years since my last visit to New Zealand, formed in a group of 7 good friends. That was my greatest vacation that I had so far. I was browsing through all my picture folders, and I blame my laziness for not being able to blog my NZ trip since 2 years ago. The main reason, we’ve taken too much photo. *KIASU* First time travel so far mar..

So i struggled through the night, and uploaded 121 pictures to my Flickr. Hehe, that’s the use of Flickr, to store my photos and share it with you all. But I’m too lazy, *again* to do the tagging. ;) Let the picture do the talkings.

I’m going to tell you why I HEART NEWZEALAND so much..

Basically i love their climate the most. Although i can’t stand the freezing -4celcius, but its THRILLING!

The most belated Besday Present

goolooloo08:37 pm6 comments

I receive this parcel that I’ve waited for so long, although its not the most.surprising.parcel.ever. but its touching enough cos JarvisJerkGege put the effort to get this wallet far from Bugis Junction, and wasted the energy to write up my address and post it by registered mail and send it over to me in Sibu. Touching ley!???

Gege and I

We saw this wallet from the WALLET SHOP when both of us shopping at Bugis Junction during my last visit to Singapore, someday in May. I was having difficulties in choosing the White Wallet, torn between two lovers wallets. Sigh, so I’ve chosen the pure white one which i thought it would be more lasting. Hmm.. after few weeks of usage, only then i realize my perception was wrong, the button dropped off and it has turn into a dirty white wallet instead of the purity white wallet.

The wallet Shop

Hence i made a call to JarvisJerk, to help me get the other one, which I’ve opted for. He was kind enough to get me the wallet and send to me immediately by registered post. Just in case it get lost in the middle of the sea. *that applies to my free name card from OOprint.com*

registered post

The reason why i love this wallet so much, basically its WHITE in color. Somehow, the main reason is, that paragraph of word that actually could encourage me to stay pretty!

wallet and Card

My new wallet and the cute birthday card from gege :)

LOOKING GOOD IS THE BEST REVENGE

Errm, i sounds wicked hor? No la. I am not!

That phrase is actually so rhymes and i totally agree with it! Hmm, don’t bother the hate-ness that might consist in the revenge, just for ladies out there, stay pretty, stay good looking, that’s the power of women.

Oops, my yoga instructor called just now, asking where am i missing for so many days. Kakaka.. See.. the wallet come at the right time, tomorrow onwards have to keep fit liao. Else cannot stay good looking la!

old and new
My old and new wallet.

There’s one good phrase in Chinese, 旧的不去,新的不来 (jiu de bu qu, xin de bu lai). Means that if old one don’t go, new one won’t come. Its not good to hold on something too tight, must let go a bit, life goes easier that way. :)

I guess I’ve turn into a blogging whore of the day, this is my second post, i scare there will be a third post coming! Grrr…

Last, enjoy my haolian picture! Good looking enough?? I know sure got people start backstabbing me. Please don’t waste your effort, cos i’ll be haolian forever!

me
Its actually an unwilling smile from me.
In fact, i look damn chubby from this picture. Laozi photographer!

Ooops!
I haven’t say thank you to Gege!! Sorry sorry, no manner betul. ,I was suppose to pay for that wallet but he say treat it as my besday present. So Thank you so much gege! Will buy you a good meal at .. Manhattan Fish Market when we meet. Hehe.. remember the flashing fire on the seafood platter?? See ya around again!

Different Countries, Different Toilet Cultures

goolooloo09:46 pm8 comments

I am trying my best to get myself concentrate in order to write an interesting post without much errors.

My Taiwan travelogue has yet to be ended, but i am just too lazy to write a closing. Hence, i browse through the pictures, sourcing some blogging topics, to my surprise, I’ve actually taken lots of toilet photos!!! *Some strange habits*

ladies
Toilet Sign @ one of public toilet

Ok, this is not typo error, don’t blame them for their broken English, I bet they are trying hard to get us understand too. At least you understand it meant for LADIES not LIDEAS. ;)

notputting
Can you understand the message they are trying to send?

Again. I know there are those grammatical mistakes. I believe Mr.STP sure start grumbling how can they make such mistakes.

The message is actually wanted to WARN the toilet users not to throw ANYTHING into the toilet bowl. It can be seen in most of the public toilet. Other than your poo and pee and TOILET PAPER,  others are not accepted! Some of the toilet not even allow you to dispose the toilet paper, that is why they will always prepare a bin beside the toilet bowl for your disposal purposes. :)

Restroom
Restroom = 化妝室 (Hua Zhuang Si) -In Taiwan

Somehow, if you ask me what is 化妝室 (Hua Zhuang Si) , I will actually answer you its, MAKE UP ROOM. Ok, now is Taiwan people turn back and laugh at Malaysia’s banana Chinese. =.=

toiletbowl
Squatting toilet bowl and flushing pedal!

No matter where i go, most of the public toilet remains clean. Probably of the design, and the practices that they do. I prefer squatting toilet which is more hygiene to me, further more, they are using this flushing pedal which is much more easier for me to flush the toilet bowl!

Somehow i do believe Big Taukeh like him sure don’t like Squatting at the toilet.

Urgent
Urgent Button. STP, i guess they meant for EMERGENCY BUTTON. :)

I saw this URGENT button inside the toilet of the highway rest stop. This is how good their public facilities is. Something that we really need to practice from them. Do you aware lots of criminal actually happen in toilet? Hmmm.. think about it! Not only criminals, you can’t smell when accidents happen too!

There’s also CCTV installed at the entrance of the toilet, but that only applies to certain Public Toilets around Taiwan. Mostly are the tourist attractions places.

Lastly, the best practice that Malaysia should adapt! All their toilets are FREE OF CHARGE for entrance!! Not like in Malaysia, got RM0.20 la, RM0.50 la, RM 2 for auto toilet la and the 5star one la.. bla bla bla.. We are also tax payer wat.. *out of topic*

dd=.=bb
Simplify your life, days goes on easier. ;)

Gonna catch up some great movies. :p

Goodbye Singapore

22

May

goolooloo09:45 am3 comments

I reach home yesterday evening, but all in my mind is still thinking of the stressful rush hours in Singapore. To the good side, i do miss Singapore. I love that everything seems to be so clean, i love their very convenient infrastructures and i love that Singapore is a shopping heaven.

The 6 days trip to Singapore has just ended. Thanks to Gege and Kinki for spending a day to hangout with me. I do have great time with you guys.

Gege: I enjoyed the movie, next time i kena jackpot i belanja u makan big popcorn. Blerk!
Kinki: I do have the greatest time bbq-ing outselves at the skyride. Hope you din turn into Bangla.

I did not manage to meet up some of my friends, but not to be missed out, I met Huey. She’s fine after the delivery of baby, but due to my camera no batt, i did not took a photo with her. I bet she also don’t wish to appear in my blog in her messy look. Anyway, her baby, shun yi?? (boy) is very adorable, too bad i didn’t hug hug him cos he was sleeping, DND.  Baby, remember to wear the nice shirt i bought and visit me during CNY o~

Singapore is the heaven for shopaholic. Which includes myself, i didn’t spend much but i’ve already started to miss lots of goodies. Shopping malls are all around, you can always find new goodies around in the market. Just like me, i found so many Panda’s in Singapore. Perhaps, Singaporean also found that i am cute??

Somehow, back to the stressfulness found in Singapore, i really feel i’m living in the heaven. In MIRI, everywhere we go, just drive, and park exactly infront of the shop. Walk a few steps further will also die. In Singapore, everyone is walking, bus, mrt even though they might have cars at home. That’s because using the public transport is more convenient compare to driving their own. Somehow, still the word, its stress and its tiring.

Everyone in Singapore seems very obedient to follow the rules, i warn you, if you don’t follow, there will be people start yelling at you, “Wat The F*cking Typical Guy”.. that’s rude and harsh.. but that’s their way, who ask you never follow the rules ah?

[̲̅ə̲̅٨̲̅٥̲̅٦̅,
That’s all about my Singapore entry, Will have to work out some final works before i am back to Sibu. Tata!!!
