Laksa with Guinness Stout
19
March
So let’s talk about the Spring Cafe that I’ve visited last week together with ah Bong. Spring Cafe is just an ordinary coffee shop, but their specialties is always their “Laksa“.

Spring Cafe is located at Krokop 10, just behind the Krokop Big Market.
Rumors told me that they actually moved to KK not long ago and decided to move back to Miri again recently. I don’t know how real is the rumors, but maybe you could tell me the truth?

And since Bong and I have no idea where to have our Sunday breakfast, hence I “ding ding” my head and think of this Laksa Outlet. From the way they served the laksa, it don’t seems very tempting. Wait a minute, let us try first and tell you ah…

Other than the thick and spicy laksa gravy, as usual it contains of bean sprouts, fried eggs and shrimps. The shrimps are just nice, at least it’s fresh!!!

The belacan and lime were given, and they are generous if you think you can go for more.
Bong and I commented that the Laksa is kind of “Spicy”. For those who dislike hot foods, they will surely say this laksa is “Bad”. But for us, we like it very much! Hot is not a problem, as long as Guinness stout is available.

Don’t get frightened la, I never dare to try Guinness.
The truth is, in Miri, most of the coffee shop served in bottles if you order for 2 glass of fresh boiled beverages. Such as “Barley” or “Soya” and “LiangTeh”. So don’t be surprise to see we had a big bottle of guiness early in the morning.
But I know Bongkersz might prefer Guinness with egg , err to boost? but its definitely a big “NO NO” for me. Wahahahah!

Com’n, have a glass of Liang Teh, too cool down your hotness after a bowl of spicy Laksa!
But I think the portion of the Laksa is not enough for me , that’s why I bought a “Pork+Mushroom+Eggyolk” glutinous rice dumpling for my lunch. I’m so big appetite hor!.

Sorry for the caption spelling error in the picture, malas to edit again.
Don’t you think the dumpling is very tempting also? yum yum…
Sorry, this is not a paid post, we paid for our meal.
RM10.50 for laksa and drinks, so it should be rM4 per bowl and RM2.50 for a bottle of guiness / liangteh.
The Bak Zhang / dumpling cost RM2.50
Hehe, did you wipe your saliva? kekekeke

Maybe the Stout should be the main soup for the Laksa!
err.. if stout become the gravy, that will taste awkward.
