Goolooloo!!! Where art thou????
I’m so touched.. that actually so many people concern where am i going. Especially those in Mc.net. I wonder if i really disappear one day, will them post a thread and hunt for me? But I’m too big in size, can’t hide!!
Among the 10comments received, only 1 people got it right, that’s POH HUAI BIN. But not fair, cos he knew it earlier that I’ll be going to SIBU.

So goolooloo is back here at SIBU, and is going to blog about the latest dining place called le Ark!
I asked my darling, wat is le Ark, he told me is something about the boat. So i google it , and found out it should be the Noah’s Ark, the large boat built by Noah.
le Ark is located by the esplanade (suits the location), along Rejang River, Sibu. It used to be a wooden hut last time, but some big tauke (the same owner of manna cafe) has bought it over and reinvented into a modern and stylish Le Ark Cafe&Gallery.
We’ve been awaiting for its opening since ages ago, and the return of goolooloo is just in time to try out this new place. I was there in the noon time, but too bad it was close for rest, so we returned in the evening for dinner.
The environment provided here are extremely nice to hang out. Very relaxing indeed.
It is designated into different area for you choice. There’s air-con and non-air cond area. Smoking and non smoking zone.
We sit in the air cond area, which looks quite contemporary to me. The walls are paint free, its direct the cements colour. Maybe to save cost? haha…
Then the outdoor sitting area were in wooden style, with ceiling fan on top.
In the middle of le Ark, theres an old tree, which was planted there since the old hut. I did not manage to go up to the 2nd floor, but I think that should be reserved for private functions.
Let’s come to the food encounter. I told Mr.Poh that we should go for western food since we are dining at such a nice environment. So he listened to me, we both go for the Western food, only the later we found out it was a big mistake!!!

He ordered Chicken Gordon Bleu, his all time favourite.Rm12.50
And i see the funky name, called “kiev” it was translated in Chinese, French style chicken with cheese. Hmmm…. RM 11.50
Ala carte, he ordered chicken wing which cost RM10.
So here you go.. the only cheese I found out in my dish!
I am not a food critics, but the leftover critics everything!!!! Do you still need further explanations?
Total spent, RM39.60.
I will be there again next time to check out if there’s any improvement or not. But honestly, I love the environment. Its worth to pay for the environment but not the food.

aww so that’s the Le Ark I was there like 2 months ago when they were still close. or maybe they were not open during lunch. abuthen Chicken Gordon Bleu sounds exotic chicken.

i thought it’s supposed to be herb-butter inside the kiev. the gorden bleu looks like hb’s mutated hand-job… then again no bad-mouthing or else will be sent on a long journey with the animals in le ark.
the environment really attractive…but the food must be improve lor….

Based on my honest opinion, they need 2 hire a better cook la. If not, i bet t cafe will close down anytime juz like wat happen 2 t previous cafe, London Cafe. My ratings, interior design: 4/5, Food: 0.5/5.
Hiaiz! I was wondering who was going to do the post on Le Ark first! I went there last month but because I did not have a camera then I could not take photos. I should have warned you all not to go. They open for lunch and I had the Thai Chicken and tasted more like Thai Tires! LOL. Some more, the open air area at the side sometimes have some “BIG” Cicada & Bee. They not only have to improve on the food, they need to change the chef!!!

I am sad on the food served with bad taste does not match to serve at the ark.
I work for Manna cafe as operations manager and too bad left the group while the ark yet under re-build.
Heard to service also not good.
hi…le ark is a very nice place to hang out….but i think the major problem is the quality of the food was not consistance and went i was there,….i heard a lot of complaint about the food….its to bad…. i suggest that the management must take action immediately if they want to see that cafe become da best cafe in sibu…..
hey guys… i heard that they open 10.30am until 11pm starting from 1 november. i go there yesterday around 3 pm….the food still da same….some more, they selling the set lunch with a chinese tea as a complementary drink… i think the drink doesn’t come along with the set. the choices of food for the set is ok….. hope u guy will go there again to check their latest improvement…. to jack,,when u want to come to sibu again… ola
hi semua… sebenarnya le ark cafe gallery adalah suatu tempat yang cantik………….. cuma saya rasakan sesuatu yang kurang…..tapi apa yang pasti kualiti makanan tidak konsisten. saya harap pada masa akan datang cafe ini akan membuat suatu perubahan besar.

Just go to The Ark recently for buffet. I heard that a lot of people said the food is not consistent but i think i am the lucky dude. The food so nice and the environment for the buffet really top notch. Will definitely recommend it to my pals in other countries.
There is a new menu. The food and drink show much improvement compared to last time. The servicing also improve so much with very friendly waiter and waitress. Keep it up. Love it.
