Replacement or Substitute

Long long time ago I have a dog name as xiao hei. It was a valentine’s present from my ex bf. The dog was stolen by some idiots, hence I lost my lovely xiao hei. Not long after the incident, I got another new puppy again, but its size is much more smaller than the actual xiaohei, but due to their similarity in hair color, so I name it as xiao hei again.
Can you answer the below questions for me?
1. Is xiaohei2 a replacement?
2. Is xiaohei2 a substitute?
3. Will you love xiaohei 1 more or 2?
4. Will you see xiaohei 1’s shadown in xiaohei 2?
Bear in mind, they are two different dogs….
Xiaohei2 is much more lovely and manja…

it depends on how you see it woman. its a replacement to the stolen one and its also a substitute to the stolen one.
i guess the only reason why the word replacement or substitute comes in mind is simply because you cant accept the fact of losing xiaohei.
if i were you, i wouldn’t say the new xiaohei a replacement or a substitute and i wouldn’t also name it the same name as the previous dog.

For the very first question, would it be a replacement, then you have to look at the below question

as for me, substitute is having the remaining one and getting a new one at the same time. so it is definitely not sustitute but replacement or something else might be
3. Will you love xiaohei 1 more or 2?
this is depends how you define them, you might have love 1 more but it is impossible for you to get 2 if u dun love him as much as 1 right? but there’s of course possiblity of other reasons
4. Will you see xiaohei 1’s shadown in xiaohei 2?
I believe this won’t likely happen because there is always difference among human kind but if you wish to think that way it would be another matter
so it is all your perception and whether you had definitely forget that previous dog
