New Seoul Korean Restaurant

It’s just another new restaurant pop up in MIRI city lately, NEW SEOUL KOREAN RESTAURANT. It’s just located opposite of my former secondary school, SMBK CHung Hua Miri along Jalan Brighton. This premise used to be a Japanese Restaurant, but due to some circumstances, It was closed down after a few months operating. It has been left vacant for almost a year.

Anyhow, the new owner of this restaurant has turned it into a Korean style restaurant, which would be nice for Mirian to enjoy the authentic Korean food. This is why, we’ve chosen this place to celebrate Eet’s birthday. Let’s see our food attempt and some review over the food.

The interior design was quite comfortable, there’s 3 private rooms, 4 standard tables and 3 floor sitting tables. According to my friends, the design was like this since the previous Japanese Restaurant. Perhaps, they did not do much renovation, but just do some simple touch up.

As for the Menu, there’s like about 20dishes available, but the price are also ranging from RM20 and above for each of the dishes. Honestly say, it’s quite pricey, that’s why we end up order a few dishes and plan to proceed to a Kampua stall after this. Kekekeke…

Ah Luoon ordered Korean Barley Tea (RM5), which he get frowned after taking one sip. Haha.. we aren’t as authentic as him, we just get some carbonated drinks, that cost only RM3.50. Kekeke…

As usual, Korean food will first served with some appertizing side dishes.

And the must not to be missed.. KimChi.. all time favourites. ;)

We ordered Pork Rib (RM28) which looks quite delicious in the picture. Yum Yum…The porkrib was earlier marinated before it was stir fried in front of us.

This could be the best dish, among the 4 dishes we ordered. So, must TRY!

Wanfern says she wanna try the Spring Rolls, and it taste awesome! Its made of minced chicken and wrapped by poppiah skin.

MuhHwa told us that Korean will have the Seaweed Soup during their birthdays. That is also why we ordered the so called longevity seaweed soup for Eet. ;) But Wanfern says its full of Ajinomoto.

And the most expensive dish of the night, the PORK LEG (RM48).
Although this is the most expensive dish, but it is the most disappointing dish we had. The pork are tasteless, and there’s no sauce. Ok, should be saying, this is not the real authentic Korean Food. Shouldn’t have order it. :(

Anyhow.. we really enjoy our time, having some big and loud talks. Laughters were all around.

Eet + Goolooloo + Yen

Yen & Muh Hwa

Must not forget… all time practice too!
Nah!!! Happy besday Eet!

We did not have a super full meal, as we planned to go Ipoh Town after this. Total damage , RM 147. The portion sizes are best fit for 4-5pax. I’ll probably will return again to try out some other food, but it must be when my wallet is loaded. Hehehe..  Hehe.. make sure you bring me along ah..
