Travel Destination: Pulau Sapi, Kota Kinabalu , Sabah
Mode of Transport: Air Asia Boeing 737 and Speed Boat
Goolooloo is back in action presenting my Sabah Travelogue of the wonderful Sapi Island. I try to get myself some rest, but don’t know why whenever I wanna rest, surely got more things to be done. Anyway, nothing can stop me from blogging, even I’m away at the island I also want to update my blog, cos goolooloo blogs daily! Blerk! Let’s begin, fasten your seatbelt please!

Air Asia is once again keeping the on-time performance. Our flight suppose to take off at 8.15am, somehow it took off earlier and we arrived in KKIA at 8.30am! There were 6 of us taking the same flight, so we proceed to the hotel to settle down our luggage.

Liang and I are just too excited, Yo Yo! Check it out!
I have another 2 friends who have arrive a day earlier than us are waiting for us at KK. Hence, we gonna meet them at the wharf and make a move to the island. Our schedule were plan earlier that we should go to Pulau Sapi for the 1st day, and Pulau Manukan the later. Both are the Island from the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park.

The Jesselton Point
By taxi from Hotel to the wharf will actually cost you RM10-12 even though the distance are pretty near. The taxi drivers here shout their standard price as they like, if you looks more to foreigners, then the knife tends to be sharper. Anyway, since we are budget sharing, RM10-12 does not make a big differences, but still if can bargain, that’s still the best.

When you got to Jesselton Point, the first thing to find out are the packages available for different island. You better do your own research at home before you come, cos each of them looks very attractive!
Anyway, we prefer not to go for package, so we took the speedboat from counter 4 to Sapi Island, and it cost RM16 per person. Then you gotta pay RM3 for the tax at counter 2. Please check with the counter if the tax are included, else you gotta be like us wasted time run here and there to pay this and that.

I had this Sambal Bihun from the Wharf Food Court. Its quite economical, RM1.50 only. Kakaka.
Breakfast is essential before we took off to the island, you can imagine, once you are up in the air the items are double price, then once you are over in the island, the price might be double too! Make sure you bring a big bottle of mineral water with you before you depart!

Path way to the wharf

Hey.. enough time to camwhore first. Hehe.. but honestly I’m quite excited to see the beautiful sky and sea. While waiting to get on board, take a chance to snap as much as i can.

There are the marine control man who in charge of the passenger safetiness .Mostly are the indonesians who works at the wharf. He caught my attention, not his tan body la, but his butt! Ok, see his jeans so gaysi, many many pockets and clipped with Walkie Talkie. Oh ya, he wears John Langford punya undies wor!
The snorkerling sets are for rent too, since we have 8 person so we just rent 4 sets which cost RM15 per set. It consist of snorkeling tools and the life jacket.

The 8 of us. Are you ready??

Finally we get on board around 10.30am. We wasted quite some time waiting the marine controller to instruct us and we doesn’t aware that we are supposed to pay the RM3 tax. So from goolooloo’s guide, there’s nothing to be wrong. At least, I learn from mistake and you learn from me.

This is yen and I on the speed boat.
The boat journey to pulau sapi takes around 15 minutes. Depends on the rough wave, put on your life jacket and hold well!

Here we arrive at Sapi Island.
The fishes are surrounded at the Jetty.

The fishes are just as near as your eye sight can catch.

It was beautiful, awesome, breathtaking!!!

Here you go, let’s have a group photo before we get wet!

Welcome to Pulau Sapi.

Beautiful blue sky and clear water.

There’s lots of people swimming at the beach, but somehow, please swim at your own risk, as there is too much visitors per day, do not assume the life guard can be alert at all time.

Time to have fun!!!! Please make sure Sun Block is apply before you go for sun bath!!!!!!!

Phewittttttttttttttt… who is this???????????? Google Tokenio la!!!!!!!!!! Wakkakaka!

Snorkerling time.
Here you go for the 1st round. Sofia, Yen and Liang

Then here we go for the 2nd round, Luoon and I.
Don’t we look funny?

Thanks to Luoon, I snorkered for 2 times.
This is the first time in my life i do snorkerling, its quite adventurous for a non-swimmer like me, who have phobia drowning into the sea, and i am lucky enough to have a friends who can guide me all the way to snorke.
The snorkerling experience was great. I can see lots of fishes and corals. Though from the eye we thought the sea could be quite shallow, but that was just illusion. I have a few times feels like I might lost control, but thanks god, I’m safe.

We do have great time splashing each other in the water.

Once again, pimp on goolooloo.com but it was quite blur.

dd=.=bb Don’t leave me alone in the island ok?

When bunch of friends get together, we play whatever we think of. And think of , YMCA.

Liang is always the JOKER. Ok la, entertainer for all of us.

Liang is proud to present, Water Ballet!!! But failed!!!

I left the guys enjoying in the water, and i go alone explore in the island. I walk very very far away to capture some breathtaking scenes, and this is my kaypohness, I fell down!

So i fell down, I sat on the rock, and I continue my photoshooting.
As long as my Canon 40D is safe!

The rock

and the Rocker.
Kuang kuang kuang kuang!

Another breathtaking scene…

And I caught this cute little boy who speak cantonese, I guess he must be a hongkies.
He keep on posing and let me snap his picture. ![]()

And i found a dead corpse doing sun bathing. Sun Tan!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m all exhausted, dehydrated and sun burnt!
Looking at my own ugly pictures, I bet you gonna have nite mares seeing this.

Hip Hip Hurray!
The trip was fruitful, we all enjoyed very much. Happy-ING!

We left the island at 2pm, but the jety was packed with visitors. It took quite sometime for the boat to arrive. So once again, we have some candid shot at the jetty.

Once again, Lakkia Forever!!!

Isn’t that she’s pretty?
This is Sofia, but sorry, she is taken by Liang. Congratulations on their ROM on 080808!!!

haha.. This one also not bad la!

To conclude, Liang as the entertainer says, its good to come out for vacation like this. And he show us how to really enjoy your vacation. In chinese, when we say go vacation, we say go “chi fong”, in Malay it is Makan Angin. So he demonstrate us, how to Eat the Wind as the conclusion of the trip to Pulau Sapi. Well done dudes!

Once again we are back to Jesselton Point.
Although I got all the burns and swelling legs, but its worth for the trip.

Hey, about the jeans thing, I found that quite a bit of a culture shock when I was in KK too. This was last year when I just got out of rehab but I heard people talking about it in rehab as well. Apparently, jeans should have a lot of frills and stuff on it to be “cool”. The teenagers don’t wear normal jeans over there, must have lots of dangly bits one or not cool. Haha!
Glad to see you’re having fun Mary!
